Time out!

Isn't it funny how life just rushes past you? Ive been noticing my ever increasing overtime at work and a definate decrease to my social life. I miss my friends. I hate how facebook has replaced spending good old quality time with those people in your life that matter.

A dear friend and I have been writing letters to each other- which I love! I just love waiting for her letters to arrive in the post. It makes me think about the 'old times' (before phones were invented), when girls would wait for their friends letter to arrive to update them with all the gossip. Imagine the excitement when it would arrive. So my friend and I got a talkin'... and we soon realised that none of us (close friends) had REALLY seen each other to catch up (if we removed work, facebook, texting etc).

This little nest egg developed.

1. We needed to take the time out of busy lives to see each other. In real life.
2. We needed a space in which we could all stay and hang out. Cook beautiful meals for each other. Watch our favourite movies. Play board games and cards. Teach each other to do things- my friend has asked me to teach her to knit.
3. Actually follow through with this idea.

So we took charge. By chance i'd just finished lusting over The Lark House in Daylesford, Victoria- Australia. It looked like the perfect place for us pals to CHILL!

I got creating the invites. I made it clear that we all needed to pay upfront for the house. That way no one was left with paying extra for those people who pull out. (we all know how much that sucks).

You’re Invited
to an intimate week with close friends to celebrate friendships in pure decadence.

Where: “The Lark House”
 Dylesford, Victoria.

So our little nest egg is going ahead as planned. We have planned it for October. That way no one is pushed to find cash at the last minute. We can all plan to get cheap flights. We are all constantly checking out what we can do in the area. Looks like it will be tough enjoying the wineries, farmers markets, cheese, and not to mention the day spas!!! How delicious does this trip sound.

When was the last time you REALLY saw your closest friends? Even took the time to spend with your family? Its amazing how time flies. Its just making the moments in between count.

Bliss!

I love nothing more than finding local organic produce. I was in heaven when I came across MOS Montville Organic Skincare. Deliciousness for your body! (... and soul really).

This is what they say:

"Our Organic Skin Care Products are handmade & packaged in Australia using organically grown fruits, flowers, herbs and vegetables. Our dedicated team create premium botanical products using traditional methods which minimise environmental impact while providing maximum effectiveness".

AWESOME~ Im slowly ditching all my high end comestics/skin care products. Its amazing how in the end you don't own things they begin to own you. I find I get caught up in the marketing of products. However, of late im loving my Sukin range of hair care, in combination with my CHI products from my natural-isk/eco hairdresser.

I love that they are from Australia too! We as a nation always look to overseas for great things when we honestly have such amazing products here in our own backyard.

Scumptious Sundays!

It has been a little chilly here in Noosa of late so nothing better than a hot chocolate to warm you up. I wanted to share my special vegan recipe.

Linda’s hot coco loco
 Ingredients:
(This is a very technical recipe)

Pick your favourite coco loco mug (it will be your measuring cup)

Half a coco loco mug of rice milk

Half a coco loco mug  of coconut milk

One teaspoon of cacao powder

Method:

Dissolve the cacao powder in a smidgen of hot boiling water

Put rice milk and coconut milk in a saucepan and heat to boil.
If you have a posh coffee maker you could easily heat this mix and steam/froth it (it actually makes a better hot coco loco)

Once gently boiling, pour rice milk and coconut milk into your dissolved cacao which should be in your desire coco loco mug.
A nice garnish over the top once you have stirred your coco loco well is cinnamon sugar!
 DELISH!!

Who needs flowers when you have a beautiful fruit bowl happening??

I stumbled across this image and it made my heart sing!

I then had to find out who this photographer was. Gregory Colbert is the mastermind behind such beautiful photos {ashes and snow collection}, which really (for me) are so captivating.

Just so epic.

After seeing these... i know i'll be having sweet dreams.

Whilst twiddling my thumbs waiting for blogger to get its shit together, I let my fingers do the walking .... walking over to ONLINE SHOPPING! Oh me! Oh my! There is something satisfying about getting a parcel full of treats in the post. Mostly all the parcels have to come from overseas so I nearly always  forget what I have brought... making it even more of a suprise (im very aloof like that).

This week I raided ASOS's website and picked out these little pretties. I was finding my wardrobe was lacking some cute tops and colourful tights!

So with free shipping/postage I couldn't resist a bargain! Do you have any secret online shops you love and want to share??

The bestest (hmmm not a word) postage suprise last week was my stamps from Ashley at Under those neon lights. Seriously soooo cute! That is one talented chicklette! After seeing how great the stamps in real life i've been planning which ones I want to get next. Treat yourself with a good old fashioned stamp. They jazz up any old dull paper.

I think my pen pal will like her envelope!

Here's to a great weekend!
